Leads don’t always turn into sales

If every single lead turned into a sale, it would be a miracle. Sales is a function of elements coming together.

There are many stats on how many sales you should expect from x number of leads.

The short version is it always depends.

It depends on demand in your market.

Your offer.

Risk involved in buying.

Your sales process.

Some people will never buy. One statistic says 50% of ALL leads will never buy.

Only 3% of the market is looking to buy know.

And 47% have purchase intent in the next couple of months.

So, if your market is 10 000 people, then 3% is 300 people who are looking to buy now.

If you have 200 leads, then:

  • 100 of them will never buy
  • 94 will consider in the next couple of months,
  • and only 6 of the 100 leads, or 3%, are hot leads now.

This means, you should extend your marketing efforts to more than just this month.

It means nurturing those who will be ready to buy in the future.

Business means playing the long game.
